A&Q about Lotus
Q:
I live in Wilmington too, so I am really sorry to hear that something like this happen in our area. I guess it just confirms that my reluctance to drive the Elise daily isn't just paranoia.
A:
Yep those teenage thugs probably took pics while they were doing it and posted on their myspace site.

my buddy had his window shot out along with all the others on his street by a bunch of punks with BB guns.
I once caught a couple of kids spraying grafitti in my friend's neghiborhood. they hopped in their car, gave me the finger, so I chased them. I was on the phone police telling them LP# and direction of travel. after about 4 minutes and realizing their riced out honda could not outrun my CL600 one got out and tried to punch through my driver side window, found out it has double pained glass, screamed about his broken fist, and the PD told me to stop pursuit. Punk a** thugs!

A:

This Wedsnday night, my son was standing in his garage when 3 little dick weeds drive by and slignshotted a paintball into the side of his prized '65 Mustang fastback!!
They take off down the street in daddy's Prius, Mike hops into his 'stang and a mile later runs them down. Two of them jump out and flee. The driver, with no where to go, backs up,runs over a fire plug. The force of the impact knocks the plug over, sending water 30/40 feet in air! Mike is so cracked up he lets the guy flee. 5 minutes later, the cops, fire dept and water dept show up. Mike's standing laughing his ass off, soaking wet holding the little dick's rear bumper and license plate!!
Two hours later cop car pulls up in Mike's driveway, with the kid in the backseat! Cop makes the kid get out of the car and spend a few minutes of complete remorse and contrition regarding his actions.
16 years old, provisional license, daddy's new car.......is this kid screwed or what??
The real miricle here is my kid didn't didn't get his hands on the little **** as he could have very well snapped his neck, or worse.

That's what I call a good cop!

As a paintball enthusiast, stories like this scare the hell out of me. Each time a marker (gun) is misused, the closer we are to having more rules, regulations, etc. Paintball markers are not toys and should not find their way into the hands of children.

Especially the immature bastards that need to be taught a lesson or two.

I'm not sure how a Pruis would leave the plate. You see, our Prius got tail ended last week and so now I have an idea of how the back end takes damage. The plate is on the lift deck, well above the bumper. The bumper and the fascia around it are sacrificial - we took the fascia home in the Grand Voyager, the bumper under it was still mostly attached to the Prius. The liftgate was untouched. A bunch would depend on how tall that fireplug was and how well the plate was attached.
Wife and son are fine, this is the second time they have been tail-ended like this.
In any case, I'm glad to see the perps get caught. If the guy who hit my family had run off, he'd have been in deep trouble - you could read the plaet number of his car off the imprint it left in the fascia of the Prius.

FYI, I pulled into a park and used the Quick detailer and cloth I had in the car to get rid of the paint and casing. It really pissed me off but it wasn't worth my time to deal with it like I should have. I just hope one day thay do it to someonw who isn't as busy as me and they get their asses beat.

I just saw this in the local news and thought of this thread. Maybe it will make you feel better. They got what they had coming. Notice the article doesn't say anything at all about the police looking for the men that umm... "engaged the vandals in discussion about their practices".
A:
Good citizens doing a thankless task.
A:
Lovely. I wonder how the cops knew they were responsible for the paintballing since their gun was taken away? Good story, regardless.

This is why I don't own a gun. I am pretty sure had someone shot my Elise with a paintball gun, I would have fired my handgun at them if owned one. I think I have an anger problem.
