A&Q about Lotus
Q:
I have given up on answering my phone while in the car....WHAAAT!....I cant HEAR you!!! Oh neaver mind,.......I'll call you back.....who ever you are! I guess, besides, I'm too busy driving anyway!!!
A:
they can hear you, you can't hear them..
A:
I can't even hear it ring.
The only reason I take it with me at all (since 99% of the time I don't stop anywhere) is for when I break down and need to call for help.
A:
Nope, I bring it with me but use it only when I pull over. Whatever the call, it can wait. When driving the Elise I think there is enough things to keep a driver busy, let aone get distracted by a cell phone call.

A:
I can't hear it... so no.
A:
I answer/call family and friends, but not business calls.

I figured out a solution to this problem when I had my S2000...
Just plug in a headset and leave it in your ear. Then the phone'll ring through the headset, and you'll be able to hear better.
My new phone has a double-headset (it's also an mp3 player), which was especially nice for phone conversations in the Elise. Of course, people I was talking to didn't appreciate the ambient noise picked up by the headset mic.
"WHAT!?!!? CLOSE YOUR FREAKING WINDOW!!!!!"
"IT IS CLOSED!!!"
A:
I never use the phone while driving. Ever.

Yeah. I hear it. I talk. Not too often though.
A:
I leave it in silent and check it when I'm stopped.

Of course driving with earphones is illegal in many states.

Like JWA, no on business, yes on friends/family but it usually consists of
"hey"
"WHAT? YOU IN THE LOTUS?"
"YAY, I'LL CALL YOU LATER"
"LATER"

My kind of thinking...ask yourself if that call is worth any front clam damage? That should help answer this.
A:
i don't talk on the phone while driving our elise, or daily driver!
also, i find cell phone rings annoying, so i always leave mine on buzz.
funny thing - the "vibration" of the car drowns out the buzz. so i don't know when someones' trying to call, but then i wouldn't answer - which works out just fine!
