A&Q about 350Z
Q:
As some of you know I bought a Datsun 510 that I want to put in new seats. I like the seats in my 350Z so I'm hoping I can find another set of them to install in my Datsun.
If anyone is selling theirs or knows of someone, let me know. Thanks.

Since that car looks so "unsportscarlike", i really doubt that the 350Z seats will blend with your 510. JMO

If you've never seen any of these 'unsportscarlike' cars move on a track day, I would bet you don't know anything about them at all, nor their interior. The stock seats are flat and offer no latteral support whatsoever so right now I am flying off the seats when I enter into corners. This thing handles like a go kart and I need some nice bucket seats and I've seen another 510 with the Z seats installed and it looks awesome. I'd be willing to race you on a track just to prove how 'unsportscarlike' it really is :)...I bet you I would give you a decent run for your money!

A properly set up 510 could smoke just about anything it went up against and would put some so called sports cars to shame. fantastically fast little car. I used to love to watch them perform. Z seats would fit great! I hope you find some. Find some retro rims and it would top it off.

DG39, thanks. I have already gone head to head with a M3 (not the 333HP beast) and we split on two runs.
Oh...I already have some Watanbe rims I'm going to put on as soon as I am done stipping them and repainting them to look good. Here's a quick look at them.
Front wheels are by 15" by 6.5" :
Rear wheels are 15" by 7":

i would love to...but i don't wanna sit on the floor boards of my car...LOL... check out Ebay... they're always selling seats on there... i almost bought a set of RSX Type-S seats for my civic off ebay... i think like 400 for front and rear... that might be your best bet aside from aftermarket...

I've been looking on Ebay but no luck, so I decided to look on here. I know they sell a lot of aftermarket seats but I am not sure on the quality, so I'd like to keep it Nissan anyway and since my Z seats are good, I figured they'd be good for my 510 too.

I had a good idea... of asking the full amount (product and shipping) for my seats and buying an aftermarket brand for my replacement... and giving you my seats... but the bid ends in 4 hours...

Pep Boys, have seats that look pretty good and sit well. $149.00 each on sale in this past Sunday's newspaper. I did the most stupid thing, buying seats on eBay for my S12 ('87 200sx SE) from a S13 (240SX)
Paid $175.00 for 2 and paid... ready.. $175.00 for shipping. When I got
them they were torn, something the seller neglected to tell me until
I paid for them.
Anyway, do yourself a favor and buy new ones.
I drove a 510 owned by Turbo Tom Wyatt, III (killed in auto accident)
from Atlanta. Had twin turbos. Out ran Turbo Porches.

Yeah I just saw those seats on Pep Boys circular for $175...but I'm not digging the look of them.

Just making a suggestion. My point is don't buy a set of seats online then pay huge dollars to have them shipped.
If I had seen pep boys' first, I would not have purchased online.

LOL... one of my friends from HS had a 510 that he used for road course driving... like salom and the like... he said it does very well... probably not a bad choice since it's an easy maintenance vehicle that probable weighs next to nothing... and is easy to make quicker...
