A&Q about 350Z
Q:
Does anybody know when the 2006 350Z will be released? Will there be any changes other than the Ipod setup similar to BMW models? I ask because I am finally ready to purchase a Z Touring (2005), and I am wondering if I should hold off if there are going be any major interior/exterior changes. Thanks for any info.

isnt the GTR also coming to the states in 06?

I believe the GTR is 07 which should also be the time the Z gets an overhaul.

I don't think there would be any major changes until 07, along with the introductin of the GTR. Can't wait. I think I'm getting a GTR. or another Z. We'll see. Who knows.

they fixed the feathering in 05 15000 on mine and no such sign. out new rears, just cuz i love to drift the car

If the 350 will not be made after 07 that will help the value of our cars.
I looked at my resale value and after having the car a year I am only upside down a couple grand.
Edmunds.com and other sites have given the 350 an award for lowest true cost to own and holding the resale value.
Most people when buying a Z are not going to care about the tire feathering, most are buying the car that they fell in love with the first time they saw it.
Grubbs Nissan by my house in DFW always sells their Z's that are new and used very quickly.

Same here, I'd be happy if they quit making it tomorrow. Then I would have two collectable cars that hold value instead of one.

Why is it so far fetched? Any change to the special 14 patented front suspension will trigger a massive flow of red ink. Fodder for the lawsuit if you will. I think it's a perfect out for a flawed car by a disgraced company.

I personally hate politics, and certainly dont affiliate myself with any group. Im just saying that even with the skyline coming out the Z isnt going to be discontinued. For one the skyline is going to be in a completely different price class. the Z has only been out for 3 years, and developing 100% new automobiles isnt cheap these days. 100's of millions of dollars goes into designing and building a new car not to mention advertising costs. Nissan was dying in the 90's and they are just starting to make their come back now. If they axed the Z Ghoshn would be admitting defeat. The Z is supposed to be a halo/excitement vehicle for the Nissan Line, it brings people into showrooms even if they dont buy it. They need a car to compete performance wise in the 30K range with the eclipses, rustangs, and other performance coupes. Just because theres a law suit doesnt mean anything. if every company simply stopped making products with lawsuits pending the only thing we'd have left would be tap water(on second thought someone would probably sue someone over that too). the skyline was never meant to be a replacement for the Z nor could it ever be. Bottom line, the Z sells and until they can only sell like 10k a year(which probably wont happen for a while) the Z will remain.
