A&Q about 350Z
Q:
The temperature inside my roadster is blazing with or without the climate control on. It's so hot I have to use the air conditioning with or without the top down. The local Nissan dealer supposidly took the dash off and check out the temperature controls. Their final word was it was within 10 degrees of one of the cars sitting on the lot so it was within specs. Any ideas or solutions?

Are the vents actually blowing hot air (without the AC on), or is the heat coming from somewhere else in the cabin? My old 280z had the same problem and it was caused by the exhaust system running under the floor - the heat shield on the exhaust sucked! You could barely touch the center console area when the car was running at temp. It would actually melt a pack of gum if I left it in the console storage area! I doubt that problem still exists on the modern Z's though...

Mine is set a 60 and the air is still coming out at 80-90 even when the ambient temp is only 70 or so. Posted about it on another forum, rode in a couple of other 350's this past weekend at the Dragon, and it seems to be a common thing. It bothers me but I will wait to have it checked out until I have another dealer type issue.
