Q:
How do you install fog lights? Be specific.

Where do you want to install them? If you are going to keep the stock bumper on the car you will need to get a set that will fit in the air intake. If you feel above you will find the aluminum bumper support and that is the best place to put the brackets for mounting and then it is just a matter of wiring up the lights, relay and switch.

I have used old high beam foot switches for driving lights. It allows you to flick them on and off as needed and helps to keep both your hands on the steering wheel.
I have some lights now. I was thinking about installing them behind the grill. I was looking at it on Thursday. I'm just worried that there won't be enough light coming out of there unless I cut the slats. I really don't want to do that. That isn't a removable grill. Also, I am afraid the lights are going to melt that plastic grill. Done that. On a Z that is an expensive repair.
So, I think I came up with a design that will allow me to install the light just in front of the grill on a piece of alum bar. I'm going to get the bar and fab it up this week if I can. It involves using the License plate hanger and the bottom of the grill on both sides to support it.
Maybe, I will just extend the alum bumper with this extrusion and mount to that. That might be too high. I'll check that out and hopefully it will look good. At least it will be removable. Or, at least that is the plan.
More later ....
