A&Q about 350Z
Q:

B/G products "frigi-fresh" aerosol can. best stuff i've found, sold at finer automotive retail outlets everywhere.

turn of the AC, and run the fan on full blast for 20 30 seconds before you turn off the car should clear out the vents that create that mildew smell. I think its the freon that causes that when it sticks around in the vents for a while. no need to go Mcgyver on the car.

A:

No, it's the condensation from the atmosphere (that the AC is pulling out) making a puddle and mildewing. You'll get a similar problem running the defrost.

I get this problem every once in a while, but it's pretty mild. Like kvnptl said, I can run the fan with the ac off amd on high for a few seconds and it seems to eliminate the problem for a good while. I've had other cars that have had this problem much worse than my 350Z. But yeah, if you were on a date with a pretty girl and this happened, it'd be a bummer. If she's cool though, she's probably had this problem on a car or two as well. Thank God for girls that are cool about F*ck ups like this, ha.
