A&Q about 350Z
Q:
I was doing a little clean up under the hood on Sunday and I was wondering that Nismo Intake... has like a little 'eternal' filter/sponge thingy.. Do I ever have to remove it and clean it?

"has like a little 'eternal' filter/sponge thingy".
If you mean internal, filter/ sponge thingy, than you may need to maintain it, but if you mean Eternal filter/sponge thingy, then It will last forever, even when the worl ends as we know it. Cheers!!! lol BEN

I'm thinking of getting the CAI from Nismo. Do they provide maintenance instructions? Are replacement elements available? Who knows the details?
A:
you never have to replace the filter element, unless it gets physically damaged. Every X thousand miles, you just take it off, rinse it, let it dry, and spray on some special oil.
That's the beauty of CAI intakes (and the JWT too)...no more filters to buy.
