A&Q about 350Z
Q:
Yes we had this issue with our 2003 Altima 3.5se.
They said it was the dampening part of the fuel rail right on the fire wall.
It took about a month for the part to come in but after it was fixed, sounded like new.
It has been a problem with the Murano and the 3.5 version of the altima.

You do know that there is no return line for the fuel like other fuel injected engines. So, the fuel pressure is regulated at the fuel pump. So, there is a dampening device that rattles when it goes bad. Or, makes a thump like you guys describe. My Z does it too... Also, I had the fuel pump replaced and two injectors under warranty. Interesting that some Nissan cars have Bosch injectors and some have Nippondenso.
A:
It's getting louder. Which one do you recommend if I have the choice, Bosch or Nippondenso?
By the way, could this be related to my performance parts. I heard that over 300hp it puts strain on the fuel pump. I have a JWT pop charger, and Borla TD exhaust.
