Nissan most profitable

A&Q about 350Z
Q:

My Morningstar.com newsletter this morning says that " Nissan is the most profitable of all global automakers." Revenues rose 15.4% for 2004 and
"achieving a 20% average return on invested capital" and " operating margins landed at 10% for the year."

So, I think they have plenty of yens to fix our cars.

A:

Last i heard Toyota was most profitable.

Toyota is the biggest. They surpassed GM recently.

Most profitable is not the same as the biggest (percentage of sales)
Not volume. Big difference. Ask GM

GM is giving cars away

2004 Audi A4 1.8T Quattro, 6SPD, sport package
1990 BMW 735i
1979 280ZX, One owner, mint condition, 30,000 miles.

It would be nice to be patriotic and buy an American car (now that GM is tanking), but Detroit just doesn't offer a car with the styling, price range, and reliability of the Z.
They had a chance to catch up when they got behind in the 1980's, but ignored the opportunity.
I rented a Cadillac DeVille while on business last month and couldn't keep the damn thing on a straight track on the highway...it kept drifting. The build quality and materials were horrid. I'll stay Japanese, thank you.

A:

The only thing my Z is reliable for is eating my tires.... Many others have a transmission problem. Once my lawsuit with Nissan is settled I am sure as hell not buying another Nissan for a very very long time, if ever, again.
