Front Pad Replacement

A&Q about 350Z
Q:

I had posted a request for information.

I found a manual that shows how to take the bottom pin out, swing up the caliper hood, and compress piston.

That is what I needed to know and I couldn't find anything on this. The CD Service manual isn't too clear on this all.

Thanks-for reading..... I think I have it now. Any suggestions or added advise for this procedure would be nice.

I'm going to try again this AM then I might write up a step by step process for us here at Zcar.com.

Thanks guys .... Appreciate it. I went to car show - air show in Half Moon Bay today so didn't get around to it. This should help.

One thing I did notice was that the new Pads do not have the metal brake wear metal strip on them like the stock ones.

Now problems with idiot light or anything going off after installing the EBC Greenstuff pads. The pads seemed to fit but they didn't seem to click in when I tried the last time.

Courtesy sent me #DP2775 their site has #DP3775. I hope they didn't send me the wrong pads. I guess I will have to call them in the am and make sure.

Interesting thing about it the resealable box seal had already been broken, WTF??? Now I have to delay some more to make sure it is all good.

Oh, well. It's not like my brakes are shot or anything. I just want to get rid of the frickin' dust.

Thanks again.

Thanks Members:

DaddyPhatSaks - I like that write up on the pad replacement. That's the best I have seen to date.

It only took me 45-1 hr after I knew what I was doing. I even cleaned the inside of the wheels. I love the EBC so far. Less dust already and I can feel the brakes are grippier.

I got this handled between my 300zx manual, your guys help, and the websites. I really need to buy a 350Z manual they are probably available not. I am not hip on the CD/online version.

Next Mod - Short Shifter .... We'll better get to it ... daylight a wasting.

Thanks again for member support and understanding ....

I believe no question is a dumb question. It is better than messing up your car. ;)
