A&Q about 350Z
Q:
OK, thanks. I'll take a look at those suggestions.
A:
budget might help you get a reasonable response since I see you didn't jump all over the 911 choice.
A:
BMW M3 or 3 Series Convertible.

My sister liked the Solaris by Toyota < 30K with upgraded 225HP and it does have a rear seat that you can use. Styling pretty nice..... Might fit the bill. I think this is the deal in convertables. It will be a solid car too.
I'm not keen on the Saab 9-3 with 210HP for 38K, I think your better to go with a BMW 325i convertable for 39K (Yeah I know guys, 185HP but more performance than that turbo 210HP).
My wife would probably go with a 330i (255HP)convert. However, it is a little more expensive than the Z convert. We will probably get a 330i or M320 hard top soon however since convertable are not our thing.
Say Z convert is 35K.... Then 330i is like 7-9K (44K) more. If that is too much then a 325i is a great car too only 4-5K (39K)more than the Z price. The 325i starting price is about the price of a high line Z roadster convertable. Options on all the cars change things around a bit.
Hopefully, some of this makes sense to you all. Just my thoughts ......

If you are checking out the Mustang. I have this to say. Nice car, interior is not as clean as the Z and a little more mono-colored. I like the convert.
Get the GT / Prem / Convert if you can.
I do not generally like white cars but, white convert with the red interior package is unique and is quite classy. That one only isn't so mono-colored. ;)
Now the Mineral GT Hard Top with 5spd. would be my cup of tea if I was to buy a Stang..... Reminds me of the Movies: Gone in 60 sec / Bullet.
Mini - Test drove one cause I thought I would like it. A one year old Cooper S. Underpowered and it had a lot of rattles, and a choppy ride. Unfortunately, I killed my desire to ever own one. Too bad cause I think that are cool little cars and get very good gas mileage. I was thinking about one for a commute car. I would never be able to drive it 100miles a day. Now if it is a in town car or back road weekend car. It would be cool.
Just make sure you test drive this one on and off the freeway.
The ride in the stang is very good! Power etc.... might be a better choice.
My wife's boss also had MINI one for a year and said "I can't stand the ride for a commute car but, make a good Sunday mountain road car." He said his was rattle free. He traded his in on a BMW330i.
Good luck!

Gimeni, there's more to a car than straight line performance, the stangs may be fast, but you see them everywhere already and they just came out. Everyone and their mom owns one.
A:
a stang cant handle, fast in straight line wow!!!
A:
I know it's only a 2 seater but....
How about a 2005 Lotus Elise: MSRP: $42,990.00
I've seen a lot of them in Houston.....
