A&Q about 350Z
Q:
or a large set of multilock pliers... you can ever press it back in with a pry bar if your talented like I... lol... just do whatever's easier for you... forget all the "correct ways" to do something as long as it works... with nothing broken... and no injuries... you're doing fine...

I don't think, I know...
Well, I don't think you know either

Are the front brakes in the 350Z single or dual piston? I was looking at a disc brake piston tool and they come single or double.

Single for non-Brembo - and a piston tool is a bit of a waste; as stated above a 5 inch C-clamp works just fine (and you can use it for other things too). But to each their own :-)
A:
I hear you PerfZ but since I hardly ever use a C clamp and the difference in price between the two at Sears is only $8.00, I will probably go with the actual tool. I must admit that I am still a little apprehensive about replacing my own front brake pads but from what I have read, it does seem easy. The dealer quoted anywhere from 1.5 to 2.5 hours to replace the front pads.
Thanks!

1.5 to 2.5 hours is ridiculous. did that include turning the rotors? if not, you can definitly do it yourself in less time

I am pretty sure that the lower end of the spectrum was to replace the pads with no issues. The upper end would be if they had problems. If I could be guaranteed 1.5 hrs I would have them do it but I have to believe that the dealer hardly ever adheres to the lower time estimate. I figure a "newbie" like me can probably do it in 2 hrs or less.

While you are there I recommend you replace the rears as well. I replaced just my fronts at about 24K and still had squealing. I then realized my rears were gone as well. While you are doing the front atleast examine or just do the rear.

That is a good idea. I have about 21,000 miles on the Z and I am beginning to hear the squeeling when I apply the brakes. Definitely will check the rears as well.

Does anyone know if the EBC Greenstuff brakes come with shims?
