In '03, I believe there was the Base, Enthusiast, Performance, Track, and Touring. The Touring has VDC, LSD, Brembos, leather, cruise control, 18" wheels, and other luxury items. The Track had 18" Rays wheels, Brembos, LSD, and I think VDC (though I could be mistaken), plus it came standard with the aero kit and rear spoiler (though you could add this to the other models too). The Performance had VDC, LSD, 18" wheels, and cruise control. The Enthusiast had TCS, LSD, 17" wheels, and cruise control. And the Base didn't have anything, as far as I can remember.
The easiest way to tell if it is a Base is if it is missing cruise control. The Enthusiast will have cruise control, and a TCS switch (under the dash left of the steering wheel). The Performance will have a VDC switch (same place as the TCS switch), but no leather or Brembos (unless it was added aftermarket). The Touring will have leather seating and Brembos. I can't quite remember what set the Track apart from the Touring, except for the Rays wheels (which could be purchased on ebay) and the aero kit (which all models could have that installed at the dealer).
Somebody else will have to help differentiate the Track and Touring for you.
And then you can always call the dealer with your VIN, like you said.

My Touring, does not have brembos, i do have leather, cruise and TCS. I know the Track has all this, brembos and the spoiler on the back.
althought i am in Australia, and we don't have the 'cloth seat' models ere.

You were having problems getting boost a few days ago, so I figure you got fed up and dumped your '90?

nissan must have marketed similar in canada as oz with no base or enthusiast, probably not enuff people/demand. It isquite odd that our touring a track are both standard with leather, but only the tan or brown, no grey........
overboost, good move on ditching the 300zx.

I know the lines of the 300ZX are very appealing in a classic way, but the 350Z lines are just as finely honed for its day and time. The only thing you may miss is the driving position of your old car. I haven't been in one in years, but I recall a more laid out legs straight arms folded comfortably arrangement.
Anyway, the look of the 350Z will not let you go once you start noticing the details.
Glad to have you aboard. Good luck.
