WASH AND DRY

A&Q about 350Z
Q:

Haven't written to the forum for a while . . . . so much negative stuff. I just keep driving and enjoying it more all the time. A word for owners of Super Black (and probably Brickyard) on something I've begun doing after I wash the car (using all Zaino products). Instead of wiping it dry, I use five or six cotton bath towels that I simply lay on the body panels and pat gently. Voila, all the drops are gone and there is no chance to scratch or swirl the finish. Works really well and doesn't take any longer to dry. A coat of gloss enhancer and you have an incredible looking finish. My car is going on 3 years in August and shows no swirls or scratches. Give it a try, it really works.

I recommend the california water blade. 15 times less friction than a terry cloth towel. Perfect for the numerous curves of the 350z. I will no longer use a towel to dry my car.

Get a large waffle-weave microfiber towel. Much lighter than cotton bath towels yet absorb a lot more water.

There are small blowers that are made expressly for drying cars. They look like miniature hand-held leaf blowers - and they work phenomenally well. That is what I recommend.
