Hey guys,
I went to my dealer today to pick up my cd's from when they exchanged the 03 cd player for the 05 bose (clarion) cd player. No more skipping :).
Anyway he told me that I needed to exchange my 03 transmission with the 04 because there were several complaints in regards to the 03 transmission having difficulty when changing gears quickly (as with racing) into third gear. He said that there were some changes with the 04 transmission that solved the problem. I hadn't noticed too much of a problem with my car but had him order the new transmission anyway.
Just thought I would let people know if you have an 03.

Is that a known problem with the 03 Bose sound system? (The Cd's skipping a lot) .. because mine has recently started doing a lot more and more now .. maybe i should bring that up next week when i drop off my car for them to inspect my transmission problem .. (Is there a TSB For that cd skipping?)
Im geting a wierd grinding noise when i clutch in some times .. even the "master technician" didnt know what it was when he heard it after we went for a ride .. But i'll definitely bring up that 04 transmission replacement suggestion =)

There is not a TSB that I know of for the cd skipping. However, I went through 4 03 cd players. Problem solved after they put in the 05 player. I would recommend that you request an 05 cd player to solve your problem. These guys didn't seem to have a problem with getting me the 05, but then again I went through several of the other ones.
Yes, I would also request the 04 transmission replacement. The service manager went into some detail about what the changes were, but I didn't catch it all.

That is nice since I had to go in three times to get my 03 transmission replaced.

Some dealers don't mind taking the warrantee money from Nissan.
I think they are smarter ones. lol
As long as they can get their money back from Nissan they should be OK to do this for their customers...... Oh wait, I forgot, this is day of how can we get the most dollars out of our customers today era. Someday, we'll get back to long term relationships I hope. No so sure with international economy the way it is now. A lot of competition out there.

I don't think there is a TSB, but the service manager at my request ordered the 05. You might just ask them to replace it with the 05 player.
