A&Q about 350Z
Q:
My experience with clay bar is that it will strip/remove impurities from your paint including wax and whatever else you have on your finish. think back to the last time you used a clean applicator when applying wax or zaino. was the applicator still clean after you finished? probably not! this is dirt and debris that was residual after wahsing/ embedded stuff in the paint. i would not use the dawn again as it is a bit harsh but if clay bar is used you are essentially going to remove whatever is on the paint surface in theory. just my experience :D

You can do it either way in my experience.
If your paint surface if smooth just use Z7 as lubricant and claybar,
It you want to go all the way use the original blue Dawn dishwashing soap and take everything off.
I have only clayed my car one time 2 years ago. My car is garaged and have lost count on the layers of Zaino Z2 & Z6.
It feels like a babies butt when you rub your fingers across my paint.
<warning, Zanio can be come habit forming> ;-)

I use the ABC system products. Gets the surface as clean as a babies arse. Real good for bird dropping stains and surface impurites, then clay bar, and wax with your favorite product. Just remeber to cover with tape the black plastic area around the rear view mirror mounts. Shine Shine Shine.
