Q:
I am beginning to look for wheels on which to mount my winter snow tires for next season. Any suggestions or preferences?

You drive your 350Z in the snow? In the winter?
A:
i drive mine all winter long and have never had problems. this isnt a ferrari its a $30K car.the average price of a new car these days is almost $25k.
my suggestion for winter wheels would be to go on to my350z.com or ebay and pic up a set of stock 17's. you should be able to easily find a set for $500 and thats with good tread on the tires, not that it matters cause you have snow tires. theyll look pretty good, their good quality, and shouldnt cost much.

Of course I drive it in the winter! I could not go thru 6 months without my Z! What did drivers do before radial tires and all wheel drive?? It didn't stop those folks.

If you're scared to drive it in any type of weather, you obviously can't afford it. It's only a Z.

Actually, I am running on 18" Pirelli 240 Snowsports on all four. They have been great.

Carlos.
I can afford it, a 37,000 Track. Only driven in perfect weather. Therefore the car looks showroom new 1.5 years later. I can afford to do this because I have a beater, and a Miata roadster. Even the Miata doesn't get driven in the snow unless the beater is in the garage. With this kind of treatment people who see my miata cannot believe it's a 1990, they always say it looks new. Go ahead, drive your Z in the winter. Just wait and see what the salt, misc chemicals, and aggregate gravel do the finish of your car and the undercarriage.

well congratulations to you, would you like an award. I own my car which means its mine therefore I can do what i want with it. And i chose to drive mine and not keep it in a garage all year round. Not to mention I dont really have the means or the storage space to buy a beater. Does that mean i shouldnt own a Z. I dont think so. That doesnt mean I dont take care of it either. MY Z is over 2.5 years old and still looks perfect after a good wash and wax.

drivenZ....you are right on target! Put aside the cost of purchasing another car, who wants to give the car insurance industry MORE $$. This is my second Z, I had a 300ZX in past years. I drove that all winter in New England for many years and it still looked great when I traded it.
