anyone do a rotor install?

Q:

Are you having trouble getting the calipers off of the rear, or the rotors off of the rear? And are they Brembo or non-Brembo?

If you got the cailper off, but can't get the rotor to break free, then they may just be sealed up to the wheel hub real good. I had to replace my wife's rotors recently, and they were on so good, I just soaked the rotors with WD40 where it touches the wheel hub, and then hammered on the rotors for a long while with a rubber mallet. I wouldn't recommend this if you will be re-using the rotors though.

If you are having trouble getting the caliper off, then I'm not sure what would be holding it on.

If you find a solution, please post back.

I had the same problem with my rear rotors sticking so hard, it took me forever to remove the rotor. Then I saw the problem. I have the brembos and the rear rotors have a second brake shoe on the back side of the rotor for the ebrake system. On the front side of the rotor is a black rubber plug. Remove it and you will have access to the adjuster screw. Using a brake adjusting tool, or flat tip screw driver, you can loosen the tension on the brake shoe to loosen the brake and the rotor should come right off then.
Not sure if this is the same for non-brembos.
Hope this helps

Same issue here.... it's that the e-brake pads get stuck to the inside of the rotor and you can use a screwdriver (I think it's half a turn) to release both screws per rotor. Then it can still be stuck but that's when you use the rubber hammer and try turning the rotor manually a little so that they losen up against the inside of the rotor. I think at the end I used a bar between the rotor and the where the caliper screws in to gain some leverage. It's a pain but they'll come off.
