17'' wheels

A&Q about 350Z
Q:

how much do they weigh...if its a significant amount less than the stocks I say go for it. Cause then atleast it technically will benefit performance too. lightweight 17's with an eibach drop wopuld be kinda sweet.

Yeah, eibach drop is a must have in (17,18 or 19).

IMHO...There is nothing wrong with 17's...I have em' & I'm still not tired of looking at the style. I believe the 17's will give you a better comfort ride than the 18's. I test drove both Z's with the different sizes & I did notice the difference right away. Again, that's my opinion! ps...Of course most Z mod guys will disagree. LOL Here's mine.....

My SB ZR still feels like HEAVEN....what a wild ride!

Your Z does look good, but I could so close my eyes and visualize your black roadster with some Volks GT7 in Diamond black with a polished lip, 19x9.5 front and 19x10.5 in the rear with a .75 inch drop. Now thats heaven. Sorry I went off there a little, I just love these Z cars. BEN

Very true, i agree some 19in SF challenges would look fantastic IMO on that roadster...however everyone doesnt have 2500 to drop on new wheels plus another 1000 for tires. I think using the stock tires would save alot of money and a black wheel with a drop would defintly look pretty sweet and set this guys car apart. Although i just looked at the 0R52's and it only looks like they come in 17x7 and i think the stock widths are 7.5. Im not a wheel expert so i cant really help much but i would look into the sizes and make sure they willl look alright and work with the stock tires.

I agree, not every one has 3200$ to drop on rims and tires, but that guy does. lol Look at his nice house in the back ground not to mention he could afford to buy a $38,000 roadster. just having fun guys, no flaming please, that means you Ven. hahaha BEN

If you have the cash I wouldn't buy new rims until you need tires and go 19's or 18's to say the least.

I have 17 stock wheels and when I need new tires again, soon...
I will upgrade to some larger rims and new tires!!!!

Can't wait, I am finally employed again.

Just remember, the bigger the wheel and tire the more weight. If weight, especially unsprung weight, is no big deal then go for it. Why not 20", with tires, shouldn't weigh more than 75 lbs. each. Also, better plan on wearing out break pads and shocks faster too.
