Diamond Audio... if your looking for head thumping bass.... i inquired about them at my local shop and this guy took me to his firebird... three 12" Diamond Audio subs.... he cranked it up and believe me it feels as if your head is changing shapes the whole time....

I myself am going for some Kicker Solo Barics... 2 behind each seat. I have a friend who uses them for competition... and they hold their own.... but he says stay away from the ones with the BLUE EMBLEM in the center...

he bought some and a DAY LATER from brand new... they rip apart... all the others are fine though....

my "best" would be:

- a pair of Focal Utopia 27WX's

- custom fiberglass enclosure, about 40L volume or so. (Trust me, this isn't as hard to do as people make it seem)

- driven by an Audison VRx 2.400 amp. I'd say Audison Thesis amp, but let's be realistic here :)

and to round it out:

- Eclipse AVN head unit (w/ the 5V pre-amp outs)

- Focal 6.5" component set up front powered by another Audison amp :)

If you buy some pre-made box, it is not going to be tuned correctly for any particular sub (or for your car, for that matter), I don't care WHAT the sales guy tells you. The closest you can get to a good, pre-built solution will be:

DG39 - I used to think the same thing. These guys will be the ones to perfect the inner ear transplant and be able to hear better than you or I ever have heard. lol ;)

For me the best is:

Stock stereo with a MTX amp and a 10" sub. I just want a tad more base.
If I was to go more than that in the car I wouldn't hear the popo. lol

I just crank the Yamaha System when I make it home.
