Q:
All, this is the gap I was referring to between the hiro rim and falken tire. Looks darn right awful (unless you are standing to the side of the Z).

A:
not too good of a pic...too sunny outside today!

that does look like crap when you had the tires mounted did you notice it right away.then you could have opted for different tires that would fill that gap.we put some yokohamas on my wifes acura integra that we use to have.it did the same thing i think it really depend on the tire.becareful of the curbs.other than that the wheels look good.

I noticed them when I took them out of their boxes. But, I was so happy to finally get them in, plus I've never had 19" rims/tires before so I really didn't know any better. I thought something didn't look right, thats why I asked some guys at Jo-Tech, and they told me it wasn't correct.
Unfortunately, I've driven about 100mi on them. So, I doubt that I will get a refund. I can only hope that a tire shop can give me some credit for these and I pay the difference for the new tires.
I learned my lesson! Not sure if I will buy anything else off of the internet since I can't see it first. Dammit!

Thanks for posting your pictures.
I agree with you the gap is not right. I think it might be the Fn Falkens!
There is almost a 1/2 inch gap.
I think I would contact the people you purchased them from and send them a copy of the first and second pictures. I am surprised that they even seal correctly to hold air.
Give them a chance to fix the problem if they are willing.
Keep up posted...

Are you sure you got the wheel/tire combination correct? If you misjudged the width of the wheels you might have gotten tires that aren't wide enough.

y'know looking at your secont pic... it doesn't seem that they are mounted right... like they were mounted on a "lower lip" other than the outside edge like they should be.

Reign, what size tires did you go with? I recall you were ordering 18x8.5 wheels. Those tires look like they aren't wide enough for the wheel. Some tires will pull in, but not .5 inch.

The tires (on the sidewall) says "Do Not Mount on a 19.5" rim". I guess you didn't see the "do not" part.
The person I ordered this from told me this set up will work. The tire sizes are 245/35/19 9.5" fr, and 275/30/19 10,5" rr."
.......................................
of course it'll work it'll just look like crap... sorry just had to.

I like the tread pattern on the Falkens. I just wouldn't use them on the 9.5", and 10.5" Axis Hiro rims "I" have. Well, unless you like drifting :)
The person I ordered these from said that he is checking for some larger tires me to exchange with. So, I hope all this can be resolved soon.
Thx!
A:
well thats good news...yea whoever told you 275 for a 10.5 wasnt correct. almost everyone with 9.5 rears are running 275's

I have 19/9 wheels in front with 245/35 tires and 19/10.5 in back 275/35 tires and they fit perfectly. I am not really sure why you are having this problem, but I would go with different tires for sure. By the way mine are Michelin PS2's. By the way again, those wheels look incredible, our cars look almost identical except I took off my rear mud guards (I didn't like the way they looked for my own reasons).

What'd they do to get you out of the shop?

Go with Toyo Proxy T1s or Good Year Eagle F1s.

bad size, working in a garage that specializes in custom wheels/tires, it can tell you straight up that those are mounted improperly. They should have known better than that.
side note on the BS of "once they've been mounted, they're sold"... I've mounted tires that wound up having this exact problem and simply dismounted the tires and returned them for the proper size.
Buyer beware for items like this, it is always important to go **IN PERSON** to a shop that deals with specialty wheels when fitment issues are unsure.

I have had bad luck with Discount Tire. They are notorious for scuffing rims. Make sure you stay back there with them at all times.
