has anyone run into a problem with the alignment pin on your front rotors? I'm trying to install the new 19's I got today, but that alignment pin is in the way (won't fit inside the new rims' slot). All the bolts align correctly, but can't fit that alignment pin in my new axis hiro's. The place that sold me the rims/tires said these rims were made for my car.
All 4 rims/tires I received does not have any special hole for this alignment pin. The inside of the rim looks like bolt hole, trapezoid shaped hole, bolt hole, trapezoid shaped hole....
Can I cut this pin off? It has a hex head on the top of it, but I didn't have a socket wrench and stripped it.
I'm assuming these pins are on both front rotors, since they are there to prvent you from putting your back stock rims on your fronts.
Thanks for any help, or if you've run into this problem before, please help!
I can't go to have my springs installed until I get this done.

I have been told that the pin is there so the Nissan technicians don't accidently put the rear wheels on the front by mistake. I think you can remove the pin, but I don't know from first hand experience. I am still running with stock wheels.

The pin or bolt is for getting the rotor off when it rusts to the hub. Just take them of and you will be fine. But, save one for when you change the rotors out. Simply take the collar off and scres the bolt in and it will force the rotor off.

zpoe, i would have to dig up the receipts. i would recommend going to perfomance nissans website for exact prices. performancenissanparts.com i belive for pads and rotors i spent $600 and change with shipping but i had to do nextday beacuse i was out of town at the time.

Thanks Reno. I already have Hawk HPs all the way around and want to upgrade the rotors when needed.
