I have a buddy who wants to get new rims and wanted me to ask what is the largest rim size he can get away with w/out making and mods to his vehicle??

You can fit a 20 inch rim on the Z without mods. Just have to make sure your rubber is real thin and the 20 inch rim is not to wide. My suggestion. Go with a staggered set up. 19x8.5 front and 19x9.5 rear or 19x9.5 and 19.10.5. 20s look to big in my opinion but there a lot of guys out there running 20s on their Z that would disagree with me. BEN

these are all 20's and not quite the best pics i could round up i know there are some more classy looking hre and iforged 20's but i couldnt find any pics off hand. 20's are definitly the max but there are a good handful of people out there that do have them. I wouldnt want them on my car just because of the added weight and expense, but i think visually it can be nicely done. Most people who upgrade wheels on the Z go to 19's though which isnt a big deal seeing as the 2006 model is now coming with a staggered 18 front 19 rear setup on the track i believe, the G35 coupe also comes stock with 19in wheels front and back.
