Dealer's logo!

A&Q about 350Z
Q:

Do you guys have your dealerships logo stamped on your trunk lid? Thank god I don't. I hate having some advertising logo on my sleek car. It just ruin the appreance of the car. This is not some cheap dodge neon or whatever to have some sticker advetisment on it. I have noticed some very early 03's don't have them. The other day I was at the dealership and was looking at this beautiful 06 roadster and then I noticed the dealership's logo on back and that was ugly. If I would buy one I insist to have them remove it or I wont buy. Cars like 350z should not have them. Please ask your dealerships to remove or not to put them on your car when you attempt to buy the Z. Thanks

you can pitch the license plate frame that has the dealer's name on it. Why advertise for free?

A:

Those frames are illegal now anyway...

I cant keep up with the laws. Im afraid to drive my eclipse to california to see all the skateparks because some prick cop would ruin my trip because i got on the bad end of profiling...

I have never allowed a dealer to place a logo on any car I have bought. Let me put it another way: They have never been willing to pay my asking price for the placement.

When I ordered my Z, I plainly told them to NOT put their logo on and to NOT drill the holes in the front bumper for front plate -- that I liked my cars pristine. I reiterated this when I was informed that the car was coming in. No problem. I then mounted my plate in the grille and preserved the "sleek"look of this still beautiful car...

For the last three or four new cars i have purchased. I have always told the salesman i would back out of the deal and walk away if the car had a adv logo on it for the dealership. I had one that did not believe me. but as I turned to walk away after they placed a chrome plastic sign on the trunk of one, the salesman took thirty seconds to get it back in the shop and removed. Tell them if they want to place an adv on your car that there will be a monthly fee for doing so. Just as they pay for any other type of adv. for their dealership.

I bought a dealer demo and it had the sticker on the rear and front and back plate holder ads. I promptely removed all of them even the sticker which was pretty easy to get off, just took a little rubbing to get the excess sticky stuff off

you shouldn't rub the decal off, use adhesive remover so that it cleanly comes off without any potential scratching. These decals come off very easily really, but I forgot to ask to not have one put on my car.

A:

When I pre-ordered my Z I told the dealer not to put any dealer stickers, pinstripes etc. on car or I would not accept the car.

A:

Goo-Gone will remove the vinyl dealer decals. I'm not sure about the chrome ones. You can buy it at any local auto parts store.

Alot of free advertising by people who buy cars and never take off those stupid looking dealer's plate frames.

First thing I would do.
