"uprated" Bose audio system with Ipod?

A&Q about 350Z
Q:

Not sure which button I have but try pushing the "radio FM/AM" button and see if it will toggle through a "SAT 1" and "SAT 2" mode. If it does then you can hook up the PAC AAI-NIS, I did and it works great. I actually have an iPod and a Sirius Sportster Tuner hooked up through this.

.....ran out and checked my car. It has just "RADIO" on the button. So I guess I am no help.

...thanks squire!... but yeah this one only switches between am fm mw .....so things dont look to hopefull!! .....Doh! :-)

A:

what's mw?

The other thing I was thinking is that the SAT1 and SAT2 may not show up unless you have something connected to the plug in the back.....anyway, I am still no help.

Check on 350ZFrenzy.com. They usually have good info if you do a search.

Good Luck......

itrip sucks go with the tape insert

A:

tape insert looks like your best bet if you cant get something hooked up from the back... because i have one of those transmitters that sends an FM signal to an unused radio frequency... and IT SUCKS... i wouldn't recommend using one if someone PAID you... the sound is so ear wretching that any audiophile would have a heart attack listening to it...

Hi Andy586, goto www.logjamelectronics.com they have two pieces of electronics that will interface your iPod with the bose stereo. You cannot have the Nav system , however. The radio button gives you twp auxilary options when you plug in the new electronics. here was the response from their tech group yesterday to me.

The two devices you need is the PAC AAI-NIS, seen here: http://www.logjamelectronics.com/pacaainis.html, and the Blitzsafe UII Universal iPOD Interface, seen here: http://www.logjamelectronics.com/blitzuii.html. This combination will allow the audio from the iPOD to be directly connected to your factory radio and will charge the iPOD using the vehicle power. It will not control the iPOD from the factory radio. The iPOD control remains with the iPOD.

The other caveat is that the AAI-NIS is out-of-stock right now because PAC, the manufacturer of the device, is in the process of upgrading the firmware in the device and has not released the new upgraded product as yet, and has not released any availability date. So we are unable to tell you when the product will be available.

Thank you,
