Underbody diffusers question

A&Q about 350Z
Q:

Hey guys, I've been wondering about this underbody diffusers that comes with the Track edition, so I asked the dealer if I could buy one. But guess what? they don't know what the heck it is. The parts dept. sales man said that the diffuser might be the tip of the exhaust. Do you guys know what it looks like and where it is located ? thank you in advance!

Rich1, you're right about that. They should have those available.

Geoz, the one on the front is not an air dam, I believe it's the Front lip spoiler. So the rear wing, together with the front lip and underbody diffusers makes the zero lift.

Thank you drivenz, you're always here for us. cool!

True about the term front "spoiler." The brochure I have actually calls it a front "chin" spoiler but still implies it's on the track only. Here, I posted a few pix from the 2003 catalogs....please note the drag co. of the track (.29) vs. the other models (.30) as well.

seriously though, you arent going to feel a drop of .01 in CD driving around on the street or pretty much anywhere else for that matter.

and FYI that site for all those who have never been there performancenissanparts.com has a whole OEM catalog as well as one of the most extensive aftermarket selections you will find, and to top it off they are real Z33 enthusiasts.

You're right again drivenz. In my head it just looks cool to have the underbody diffusers, but like you said .01 won't change the performance. It just I had the OEM spoiler and the Front chin spoiler installed, so to complete the package, "aerodynamic package" makes me want' to get it. But since it's hidden and you can't see them anyways, Forget it. Unlike the front chin spoiler, I think it's cool. I had a little Nismo sticker on it. :) Thank you again for the input.

The front spoiler, rear spoiler, and the diffusers on the underside are standard on the Track Model and available as an option on other models. It all comes as part of the optional Aerodynamic Package and was $530 for the option on my 2005 Enthusiast.

Nissan took the same idea and added a diffuser package to the underside of the Infiniti FX. I have them on my 2003 FX35 with the Sports Package. The focus by Infiniti was to get the drag coefficient down as low as possible and improve fuel economy.
