Next generation 350z

A&Q about 350Z
Q:

Hi,

Does anyone know how the next generation 350z would look like say in 2007 2008 etc..? I'm just curious if there will be a major change from the current model.

Wouldn't be surprised if they keep it basically the same for at least 6-8 years. The z32's 7 year run [1990,91,92,93,94,95,96] had only one 'change' being the rear spoiler in 94.

I don't think this photo has been around for ages. The article talks about lunching a 450z with a V8 and 430hp compared to the 280hp of the 350z. It also says that the 450z will be similar to the GT lunched in Japan. It seems that this article is fairly new. I am sure our French Canadian friends can translate it better than me.

Thanks SluggoZ for the article.

ages? maybe not. but its atleast 6months old and it says it's going to be launched in 2005. By my calendar Nissan has about a month and half to pull that off. Maybe Santa Claus will bring one for me(sarcasm).

honestly though this is probably an offbased swing to the GTR story, it certainly came out after the 350Z but it looks like they jumped the gun on the GTR. Besides, what the hell do the french know(and no i dont need to be reminded about renault)

driven is correct. You don't need a translater to understand that in the first paragraph mid way through it says to be launched in 2005. This article has come up a couple times on this site already, as well as other Z boards. If I remember correctly it was said that this article came out in late 03 or early 04. It is a rather old article in media terms. I mean every month or so some new thing is being said about the Z or GTR. If Nissan keeps with it's current ways chances are the next version of the Z will share the same plateform as the GTR as well as the same drivetrain, slightly detunned. So if the new GTR prototype is anything to go by it doesn't look like the Z will change that much in styling, hopefully it will change a lot in the engine department. Essentially anything said at this point is just speculation becuase Nissan hasn't said anything yet about the next evolution of the Z.

ssm86... actually, if you want to get technical about the Z32 in Japan, It came out in 1989, therefore, it ran for 10 years until sadly being dismissed in 1999.
