A&Q about 350Z

Im in MD and it hit 35 degrees today, and i noticed "ICY" on the guage.. I usually have mine set to show the mph but it changed to the outside degrees... should i be worried?? i dont wanna freeze my z's nuts... lol

The ICY indication is just letting you know that the weather is cold enough to have ice on the road. It pops up whatever the display is set to. The sensor is located on the support in front of the radiator.

A number of car manufacturers do the same thing. It is intended to remind lousy drivers that water freezes at 32 degrees F. My wife's Volvo show a snow flake. The Swedes are more subtle.

I had a BMW with a trip computer with various settings similar to the Z. When it hit 37 degrees outside it would beep no matter what mode you were in.

i'm glad our cars don't beep... that would seriously piss me off... unlike the TPS monitor... it beeps when your tire pressure is low...
