There is a large grommet with a large amount of wires running through the firewall behind the battery. I did remember I removed the black plastic that surrounds the battery and also right up to the windshield to access it better. The center of those little plastic clips that hold it down pop up then come out. I just poked a small whole in the rubber grommet and ran a few wires through it with no problems. Can't help on the CB part. Good luck.

Thanks for the information. I'm going to look into the filter and try that. If the results aren't satisfactory I'll go thru the fire wall like "Thrust" suggested.
