HA! Make sure the top is secured well as exposer to cold air can lead to stiffness and chafing.
A:
It's always secured correctly...once the top is up you push forward with your left hand & lock in with the right hand. IT's LOCKED & SECURED!
My SB ZR still feels like HEAVEN....what a wild ride!
A:
No problems to this point - thanks for the heads up...

The more I look at this Sloggo - the more I wonder if I am having the same problem...My top has ONE visible stitch along each side, and has some separation that looks exactly like yours.
Is yours being/been replaced?
Have you had any leakage?
I have mine garaged every night, and in a cover if anywhere out of town. You have me concerned...

I have a 2004 roadster and are having some severe issues with the top. My issues with the convertible top started about two months after I leased the car. I saw a small tear on the top (not near the seams) and i took it to the dealership to get it replaced. It took the service department a year to ordered the top and replace it. Everything on the car was fine until two months after the warrenty expired. My top was getting stuck on the fifth bow. The fifth bow is the last motion of the convertible top when the rear window comes down to close the top. At first the closure was a little labored but it closed after a couple of tries. It got stuck on the fifth bow two week after the first incident when I was out of town at a meeting. I drove with the fifth bow half down for the remainder of the day. When I went to the dealership later on that day, it closed. I took the car to the dealership and was the told the problems could be solved with some nissan lubricant. They order the part and the following week they another shot at fixing it. The top worked for a couple of days then it got stuck again on the fifth bow. I took it back to the dealership and was told they could not figure out what the issue was. My tech told me that he found metal filing in the retraction mechanism and it could either be the actuator or one of the motors (there is five) but could not figure it out until they took it apart and tested each part invidiually. Since the car was out of warrenty, I was told to speak with Nissan and get authorization to fix it. After my initial call to Nissan I was told to take it back to the dealership so they could identify the problem. I drop off the car and was told it could take a couple of days. A couple of days turn into five days and the dealership identified the problem but had a problem getting authorization from Nissan. After another week of being in a rental car and dozen phone calls later and a couple of angry phone calls later I was told since they already given a courtsey repair of the convertiable top, Nissan would not fix the top. I am currently reaching out to the dealer rep but am getting the same run around and now comtemplating on consulting an atterney. Any suggestions?
