I'm leaving mine in the garage and driving my other car during the winter. I think a hot little sports car should be babied, not driven through snow and salt on errands to the grocery store like the family station wagon.

ive drove mine through 2 jersey winters, however im a student and it isnt necessary for me to drive everyday. The Z is pretty good in snow with a nice set of winters, a saw a video of a guy in new england driving through a decent amount of snow without a problem. I drive mine with stock tires in the winter but only when its dry out, Ive never had a problem when its dry even in below freezing temps.

The stone chips are nothing compared to the rust from the salt (if your state uses it). In Ontario, the salt will eat your disc brakes (causes freezing), the bodywork and any crack where it can sit. I have experience with several cars in Ontario, including a Toyota that did this. They use a TON of salt on the roads there, it WILL rust.

I can't imagine driving my 350Z in the winter other than a quick jaunt on drive pavement and no sand. Low ground clearance and rear wheel drive just don't add up to reliable driving when the big storms hit. I can't imagime how you could drive the thing on icy roads with the stability control activated. It's sensitive enough on dry pavement with summer tires.
That's why my other ride is aa 2003 Infiniti FX35 with AWD. I have a set of Blizzaks mounted to 18 inch Sport Edition Fox 6 alloys for the winter months. It is awsome in the crap weather.

I live in wisconsin and I store mine every winter. No smart person would drive their 350z in winter. PLEASE DO NOT DESTROY YOUR CAR. I know its your car but for your own safety you should consider driving something else. Thank you,
