A&Q about 350Z
Q:
I would be interested in getting back into a Z if I knew the new tires were working. Can anyone say that realignment helps ? How about people who have tried the Goodyear Eagle gsd3's or whatever they are called (the ones without the treadblocks). I wouldn't even care if it still wore the tires out on the inner front, as long as I wouldn't have to listen to that roar ! Is there hope for this car or is the only solution a redesign of the front suspension which probably won't come until the new Z in 2009?

Bluzee, it's a suspension design problem... it's been discussed ad nasuem in this forum for the last 1-2 years. Different tyres do nothing.

Will K, I have been watching this forum since 'o2. not participating much, so I know all about the problem right from the beginning. I have owned my car since March of '03 and went through anextensive song and dance with Nissan, three sets of tires. With each set the problem improved, with the last set I actually got wear on the outside, that tells me that the proper alignment does make a difference. I now do not have a problem nor do most of the Z owners, Igrant you that this particular suspension on th e Z car is very sensitive but not more so than some other cars. I don't like your know-it-all attitude because I have been there, done that .
