A&Q about 350Z
Q:
This is my first post. I am in the market for a new Z. Options wise I believe I want an Enthusiast model w/leather. Trying to take advantage of the new model year and what seems to be an over abundance of '05's still left on dealer lots here locally (most being roadsters). I plan on keeping the car for more than 3 yrs. so I don't mind losing a little by doing so.
I've used edmunds and kbb....but I'm skeptical using their numbers. I would greatly appreciate any advice that can be provided as to what I should try to offer the dealer. Tax rate here is 6.5%. Thank you for any help you may be able to provide.

I believe that the Touring model is the only one that comes with leather stock, but many Z owners who would like leather just get it from the aftermarket.
Other than that, I wish I knew what to tell you about a $ figure to offer.

Depends on where you are, but in my opinion you should offer $28K and let it stand there. I got mine below invoice, which was below $27K. You have TONS of negotiating room if you are buying, not a whole lot if you are leasing.

I don't know if this is just a local thing or what, but I received an email on Saturday from a local dealer in AZ offering any new Nissan for $1000 below cost. The offer expires at the end of the day today. I called them and confirmed that the deal includes the 350Z, both coupe and roadster. They said that the email is required in order to get the deal. Maybe other dealers are equally motivated to hit a monthly goal.

I would say that under $30K out the door with TTL would be a very good deal with your 6.5% sales tax. No more than $30,500 imho however. That would be a little under invoice if you optioned it out. In other words, floor mats, alum sills, side air bags, rear deck spoiler, cargo net, cargo mat, and convience equip.
