I've got one on order but really don't have a clue what it looks like in person compared to the older Super Black.
Can anyone enlighten me?

Mine has small metallic flakes in the paint.

It's hard to say. Up close, it is a softer black as the light is reflecting of the flecking. From a distance, though, the flecking hasn't appeared to be noticable and appears more as a Super Black. FWIW, a side-by-side between the 2005 Selection Guide and 2006 brochure look virtually identical apart from the 2006 brochure is printed at a higher resolution. You'll really have to see one when one of your local dealerships has one in. The picture for the Interlagos Fire in the brochure looks very purple. When I initially picked up my 2006, the Interlagos Fire model they had just gotten in looked purplish in the dim evening light. The next day, midafternoon, it looked more brownish.
