A&Q about 350Z
Q:
Hi guys. I rarely post in this forum, but I find the info provided in the forum pertaining to the 350Z extremely helpful. I purchased a Super Black "05 350Z with a custom sunroof back in early June, and my experience up to three weeks ago has been great. Three weeks ago, I had grease streaks on my windows and I found out that my right rear tire was gradually losing pressure according to my tire gauge. I decided to have my first service performed by the dealership in central NJ, and I was told that I had a nail that shifted horizontally in the tire. The dealer recommended a patch from a tire/service dealer. Also, the dealer ordered a replacement part to eliminate grease streaks in my windows.
On a positive note, three weeks later, the grease streaks are eliminated after installation of the new part by the dealer. On the downside, after going to different tire repair places, I discovered that my tire (with only 3650 miles on it) could not be repaired, because I had three holes in the tire, not a nail! It sucks having to purchase a $250 tire, despite the tire being pristine! The techs at my Firestone service center are reliable, because I took my previous car there during college and up to May. Just wanted to vent about buying a new tire so soon. I guess c'est la vie. Other than that the Z is a sexy car and I love driving it every day (epecially considering my previous car was "96 Jeep Grand Cherokee)!
BTW: While at the dealership earlier in the week to have the grease streaks repaired, the dealer received the new "06 350Z Grand Touring Coupe (Super Black) and Roadster (Silverstone). I am envious of the new 18/19 inch chrome rims. The grille has changed slightly, lights (now bi-xenon) and the tail lights are LED (although the LED tail lights looked similar to the '05s in daylight. The interior no longer has a tape deck, and the heat buttons were moved up on the console. Also, I saw audio tuner buttons on the wheel. The other changes were minor cosmetic changes on the interior. The automatic was still still 287 HP on the Grand Touring, but the roadster had 300 HP. The coolest change are the rims.

I'm also in central (manville) NJ. Have you guys joined yet? I joined but have not been able to make any of the meets.
If you are going to get new tires, go with Good Year F1GSD3. It is a teriffic tire.
