A&Q about 350Z
Q:
well im not too sure how i feel about it, i think i was expecting more in the design department. I think its a decent progression from the older GTR's but it isnt quite what I wanted to see.

Yeah, but it's still a prototype. I doubt they would leave the black stripes on in the real version. Hm, maybe someone could photoshop it to look "normal"? Might be nicer.

How much is the GT-R gonna be?

article puts it around 70,000. I don't think I'd ever pay that much for a car, unless I was filthy rich. Just can't justify it!
A:
article said somewhere around 70k and most likely coming with an infiniti badge. The body work is 80-90% of what the actual car will look like. Im glad this isnt the official car cause theres definitly a few things id change. the front fender flares and side intakes dont really do it for me, im hoping they change that up a bit cause it just doesnt flow right. Everything else about the car is underwraps engine is either a TT VQ from the Z(which id love to see) or 4.5l infiniti V8. power is going to be between 4-500hp( my guess is closer to 500hp if they want to compete with whats out now). There isnt any interior in the proto at the show so i guess we have to wait on that.

The other motor under consideration that is mentioned in other articles is a new 3.2 twin turbo motor. If that goes as planned the new Z may actually be a 320z.

Yes, but it's time for a new taillight design.

A:
Not likely, considering the GTR has had round tailights like that since it's debut in the 60's and 70's

To ZCrazi:
The circle headlights are one of the KEY defining design cues. Doing away with the headlight design would be the same as changing the name of the car, and therefore destroying it's connection to it's history and heritage.
bad call.

I'm sorry I meant to say "taillight" instead of "headlight" in sentence #2.

Well, I won't be wishing I had the 70 large they're going to ask for that study hall drawing.

looking at it from that angle i like it... but i wish they would sharpen the tail up a bit... i don't think i would like a 350Z tail on the new GTR
