I think it can be done, but it isn't as simple as swapping the head units because the Bose system has different wiring for the sub woofer and satellite radio upgrade. The Bose system has an amp in the back near the spare tire, I believe that is for the sub.
Do you have two Z's, a Performance and a Touring?
I think it would be easiest just to buy an aftermarket HU and install it in the Performance. I don't think it would be worth the effort to try to make it work. Those sound systems aren't that great.
