A&Q about 350Z
Q:
My guess is Nissan's production costs are lower and the initial R&D/development costs have been absorbed.
Most model generations drop in price the longer they run.... the exception is probably extremely low production specialty auto's. Aston Martin, etc.
A:
Roadster prices are a bit higher, I think. 34 G's for a enthusiast roadster and 38 G's for a touring and 39 G's for a grand touring? I'm planning to buy a roadster in spring but I'm not happy with these prices? Don't want a enthusiast model. I think you could get a 05 fully loaded for around 34 G's. I might be wrong but that's what I saw few months ago when I was shopping and researching prices and options.

I now have a collectible!! Thanks, Nissan. Pre-ordered, early VIN, fairly rare color, and now it's no longer being made.
I can't wait until 2025 when values really take off. Woo wooo!!

Pete,
I just looked at the Nissan web site. The '06 Enthusiast base MSRP is $29,150. My '05 Enthusiast has a base MSRP of $28,750. The only change is that they apparently dropped the 17 inch wheels and made the 18 inch with new wheels as standard.
It also appears that they feel confident that the tire feathering issue has been corrected. The Track and the Grand Touring come with 18 inch front wheels shod with 245/40-18 tires and the rears are 19's with 265/35-19 tires. That's bumping close to the max for tire width. If the feathering issue was still lingering, all they have done is add to the warranty costs. I doubt that is the case.
