You would have to just buy one from Nissan but if you are going to do that then dont get the OEM one, get the Nismo one. Probably not much more expensive but you are still looking at like $1500.00 or so. You dont need one unless you plan on Autocross or something but for normal everyday driving you dont need one. I take my car on drives and it handles fine. To me its not worth it.

limited slip differential... i'm no expert but i believe that would mean that it increase the wheel spin control...

It shouldnt affect straight line performance at all. The base and higher model z's all have the same accelleration times. It will affect cornering speed and cornering ability, but not by that much. But I am also not an expert.

LSD's are good for the track. If you have a open diff (Base Model) you are starting off on one leg as they call it. If you have a LSD when you lose traction on one wheel you gain it back on the other wheel. It tranfers the load. Hince, your 0-60' or take off times improve a lot. I am going to get a NISMO LSD they are adjustable from the outside. I am not sure if it is worth getting 3.90 EVO gears to go in it or not yet. It might just be.
Anyone installed this set up in a Base Model? What improvements did you see?
