The Fast and the Furious 3

A&Q about 350Z
Q:

Hello,

This is my first post so I figured that I would use it for something substantive. I hope that this hasn't been posted yet. Also, I posted this on my350z.com, so I apologize if both websites have essentially the same membership.

Anyway, glad to be here and enjoy the article:

Import Racer magazine. October 2005. Volume 6 No. 10. pg. 12

"C'mon, you didn't think that Universal would't do a third movie after the success of 2F2F? Tentatively set for a 2006summer release, Fast and Furious 3 is set partially in Los Angeles and partly in Tokyo. The third installment's lead car may be the Nissan 350Z. Considering the massive hit Devon Aoki gave audiences in 2F2F, it makes sense. Remember her sketching a concept 350Z throughout the movie? Okay, maybe you don't, but she was really working on a Z."

"Fast and Furious 3 will also focus on, suprise, drifting. Vehicle casting already took place this summer in Irwindale California. The casting team was specifically looking for Nissan 350Zs, leading us to believe that it may be the lead vehicle. A similar vehicle casting call took place in Tokyo with hundreds of cars coming out for their chance to get in the movie. As part of the pre-production, stunt drivers were called out to an undisclosed location for auditions as well. No word on whether Paul Walker or Vin Diesel will return to reprise their roles. By the time you read this, filming on the latest movie will have commenced."

I know there was a calling for the 300ZX to be featured, but this may good for the Z legacy as well. Or maybe not?

Thank God, it's not a Z32.

Let us not forget what happened to those muscle cars. So if any Z must be destroyed, let it be one they are still manufacturing instead of one no longer replacable.

If everyone left well-enough alone, we wouldn't have anything great.
