What made you take a test drive?

The funniest commercial for the new eclipse is the one where all the other cars are bowing down to it and it shows a FD RX-7 bow down to the Eclipse. Beieve me as my best friend has a 93 FD RX-7, there is NO aspec the eclipse would beat the RX-7 in.

You beat me to it Red Beauty. I was just going to say how I was in disbelief that they had an RX-7 bow down to the eclipse. At least it wasn't a Z, that would have made it worse

Yeah i can't believe that bullsh|t with the FD 'bowing down' to the pos eclipse. That REALLY pissed me off, the legend of the rx7 is the closest to that of the z that exists! We should all go to the mitsu forums and try to raise some hell.

Why go to the Eclipse forums and raise hell? They're not the ones who came up with the commerical idea? I'm sure a lot of them who are true car enthusiast know that it doesn't compare to a 3rd gen RX7...so no need to go and bash on something they had no say in.

It's a commercial, who cares. Is there some point to complain? Anyone who knows anything about cars knows that the commercial is ridiculous, anyone who doesn't wouldn't know the stats on the cars that are bowing to the eclipse anyway.

It's a commercial, who cares. If it was a z32 I'd care. If there was a commercial with the 350z submitting to the RX-8, or the z32 submitting to the 3000gt, I bet people would be pretty pissed, I would.

I guess I just think there's too many other things in life to worry about? My pride wouldn't hurt if they showed a 350z bowing to a new eclipse, simply because you know in the street all the eclipse would see is taillights. WTF, their jobs are to sell cars, they're not saying that the eclipse is better than the ride in the commercial. Bowing doesn't mean losing in a race.
Next thing you know, people who drink coors light will complain cause Budweiser is claiming to be the King of Beers. lskjfdlskjdfslkdj...

I raced a new eclipse in my RSX Type S before I got my Z and spanked it. My car wasn't exactly stock but it's still was a 4 banger.
Loved my Acura RSX Type S until I got my Z!!!!
