A&Q about 350Z
Q:
there's a post over at my350z.com
with several 05 owners describing cupping?
i thought the 03's were fixed because it was an alignment problem?
and then i thought nissan said just recently that now the 04's are fixed because it was an alignment / tire design issue?
I suppose in about a year the o5's will be fixed with an aparent
alignment / tire design / japanese air inside the tire's causing them to s u c k ? Nissan has really dropped the ball on this one. Carlos must be proud, i guess he can't see what the future holds for nissan on this issue?

you know it's an absolute bummer that it's leading to this.i love my Z and have always been a Z fan.but come on there's way too many cars having problems with feathering, grease streeks, dash rattling etc.nissan really needs to step up and fix these problems with no questions asked or start buying these cars back.i mean the balls these guys have to even argue with the customer when there's a problem.such is the case with some former Z owners.then to top it off by saying the 04's shouldn't have a problem because the problem was fixed.i just had my tire replaced and the car aligned at 7600 miles.problem is i bought an early 04 wich doesn't really count for much considering the 05's are ahving problems.this car has been in the works for a while.i pretty sure nissan knew about this problem and still put the car out.they made the car handle great with great steering response, but sacrificed life on our tires.so basicaly we're supposed to drop 500 bucks on front tires once a year.nissan needs to come up with a new front end kit that gives the car the best of all worlds handling and long life on the tires.i wouldn't mind had i replaced the tires at 25-30 thousand miles no big deal.well we'll see what happens i just bought a Titan and they've already fixed the break problem.i bought the truck with the upgraded rotors so i was ok.
Z's are like woman maintenance,maintenance,maintenance!

"Nissan really needs to step up and fix these problems with no questions asked or start buying these cars back."
I agree with you that is why I sued Nissan. And now they are buying my car back.
"i mean the balls these guys have to even argue with the customer when there's a problem."
I found it amusing to see what happened to their balls when I introduced them to my lawyer. Now I own their ballz and they reown the car they so proudly, and adamantly, defended, saying it had no issues…
IMO Nissan is not doing anything to fix this issue because it is to costly for them to do so. If everyone who has the issue would sue them then they would be forced to fix the problems because they would be losing too much money. But for whatever reason people don't mind dealing with these issues over and over and over agian. For me it was a no brainer because I work hard for the money I earn and do not appreciate it when I am sold a subpar product. 100% of the time I will seek justice to right a wrong when the product supplier will not back their warranty. Anyone who doesn't is a pushover.

Just start using the system. If you can't get it fixed use the lemon law.
Bitchin' gets you no where. Once you file the papers it will be taken care of.
Since there has only been one or two lemons NISSAN figures it just has to wait until 36K and they are off the hook. '03's are getting there so if '04 don't have the problem they are out of the woods.
Therefore, if you have a '03 and haven't documented your visits and sent the paperwork in the law and NISSAN figures it's not that big of a deal.
Think about it ..... If you have this problem just take the steps. It won't cost you anything.
I just went through this on a Cadilliac with my Brother-in-law and he got every cent back and drove the car for three years to boot.
Now he's just trying to figure out what to buy.
I'm glad I can fix my own cars ..... no cupping / feathering here.
I do feel for you that have this problem but there is a way out and it isn't that big of a process. Just get a lawyer and they will do most of the work. ;) ........ and I hate lawyers.
