It must be pot luck. I have a pre-order 03' touring with 36,000+ miles. I have had no problems with the car.. I do have the grease streak on the window but it's going away on it's own. I've never had a feathering problem or any other of the ones mentioned. My seat is showing wear and Nissan has offered to put a new skin on it.
I'm 100% satisfied with the car..

to say 03's are lemons huh, if you think about it they are the only ones with the most significant miles logged. think about it Sol. rack up some miles and tell us how you fair.

Well, I can't say for all, but a majority of Zs for sale are 03s, I wonder why??

My Z also lucky, an 03 pre-order track model, no problems except grease streaks, no feathiring, 19,873 on original RE040's, good tread, tires never off the rim one time. No lemon so far. Just fine fine car.

it is not only the 03' model i have an 04' touring that has been through bad axels and 4 brake jobs in just 20,000 miles and also the power window on the driver side, and tire feathering as well. i would have hoped that for this kind of money that nissan would have made a better car and treated the z owners better becasue they haven't helped me in any way with my car.
