A&Q about 350Z
Q:
Take your plate off just before pulling into the station, press the pay cashier inside button on the pump, pump gas, jump in you sexy little Zcar, finally, make like Jeff Gordon on whatever street your on. (Preferably a busy one with lots of cars to get lost in) Then, slap your plate back on when you get somewhere safe.
Good Idea huh?

I can neither confirm nor deny that last allegation.

yeah, that's a great idea if I wasn't the only lemans 350z in town. In my town there's only three total driving around, white, black, and me. Of course that makes me happy....................

In TN, gas theft is so bad you have to prepay at ALL the stations in Murfreesboro.
A:
Yeah, I think that'll be the way it will be everywhere soon. It's amazing to me that someone would steal gas. I mean, if you're going to be a criminal, at least be smart enough to steal something worth decent cash and then sell it and you'll have plenty of gas money.
A:
yeah, here in Gray, TN its prepay at a lot of places. Sometimes they'll change it back to normal though.

In Memphis its mostly prepay. Though I think they do that so they get your money before someone robs you while you're pumping gas.

some sophisticated thieves where i live have been going to the gas stations after hours when it closes and able to remove the caps from the ground pumps(where 18 wheelers pump gas into the stations) and siphon the gas from there. they don't want to risk being caught by a gas attendant by stealing gas the way normal people do it.
what i don't understand is why gas stations don't make customers pay first, then pump for gas during these times. customers running off w/o paying shouldn't be an issue.

remeber the alcohol thing back in the 1930's, or was it the 20's or 40'sm hehe, I don't know. But, its time to revolt, we pay are taxes, we pay a bills, we PAY too MUCH! ANARCHY!

Prepay is not just in Los Angeles, but all of California. I can't remember the last time it was pump first, then pay. In fact, I've travel a lot for my job and throught my trips to Denver CO, Seattle WA, Clearwater FL, Minneapolis MN, Washington DC, and all over CA, not once have I found a fill up then pay gas station. I believe the only place I've been to that still had pre pump, then pay was at my girfriend's home town of Harrisonberg Virginia.
It' seriously not a big deal, especially since all of the pumps now have credit card readers on each of them, it makes it so easy not to have to go into that little mini-mart style thing to pay at all. If you guys are still having to do that, trust me, you'll like the pay at the pump machines so much better....unless you need a bag of chips and a drink...then you have to go inside.
