We have a great mount for the Valentine-1 radar detector or the Escort/Bel. It was made "especially" for the 350Z. I'm sure you will like it. It is not plastic. It is anodized and has the Z logo on it or you can get a plain one if you like.
My DH races DSR's and makes these on the side, so he's reallllly good.....:) thanksssss guys.......and have a great day!

A great piece of gear, I had one myself for a number of years. Good news is I know the thing saved me a few tickets. Bad news is I still got tagged at a disturbing rate (4 times in > 5 years). My Valentine detected the cops 100% of the times they didn’t tag me, and 100% of the time they did. Maybe the Force will help too.
