A&Q about 350Z
Q:
Hopefully most of you did'nt waste your entire summer pumping your fists in the air at Nissan or burning your local service departments down and actually laid some rubber down on the roadways in your beautiful cars. I live in central AL and have taken several nice trips this summer, more than anything they help me get through the daily grind. So far this year, I've driven up the east coast through the mountains to Maryland to see some friends then drove Blue Mtn Pkwy back down at breakneck speeds in a torrential downpour. I've gone as far south as Tampa on a tarpon fishing trip. Just recently I went to the Grand Am Cup and Rolex Sports Car Series races at Barber in Birmingham and met a guy at the race with a daily driven Z32 that puts out over 700 hp. Then, the next weekend, a friend and I drove down to the gulf and chartered a boat and caught a butt-load of snapper, grouper, and mackeral. And last Fri. I took a friend up to Nashville to the Titans v. Bucs preseason game. I am planning two more deep sea fishing trips before the season ends and I'm sure I'll make a few mountain runs to the Smokeys this fall.
I hope all of you have enjoyed your Zs as much as I have this summer. If so, share some of your road trip adventures.

You da man Zig Zag! Too many Z owners have way too few miles on their cars and would never think of taking it out in the rain. I haven't been on any sizable trips since ZDayZ in May, but have gotten together with fellow owners from NE Ohio a couple of times and been on a few local drives with my club. I'm headed to Myrtle Beach 1st week of November and may even take it then instead of flying. The WV turnpike is some marvelous road and scenery. And I am counting the days until 2006 ZDayZ - going to take the whole week and check out the Cherhoula (spelling?) Skyway as well as the Dragon. You live in some beautiful country in which to own a Z! "It's more fun to drive it than to look at it"

ugh where's that going down?
I've drivenin the rain too... 90 MPH in moderate rain before too... definately not advisable though...
my favorite thing to do so far is to slide the tail out in wet conditions... (dry eats too much tire)

You know the more I drive this car the more I like it!
I took a few drives this week and just really enjoyed not pushing the car.
Just cruisin' and carving. It seems at 50% effort this thing still flies.
I mean my V8 Firebird and the 454 Camaro have some awesome power but, you are on edge when you drive them. It is nice not to have worry about launching the car into some idiot that didn't look before they pulled out in front of you.
I mean in my of the higher horsepower cars it's idle shift 2K shift 2k shift around town. In the Z I can get here up to 3500rpm before I have to shift at least.
I mean this is a perfect car to run around town and take short trips through the mountain vineyards that they have around here.
The car is getting more and more comfortable.
Solidus - it was 102 here lfor last few weeks. Now it is only in the the mid 80's finally. Wish you luck for this school year.
So, I now get to choose. Do I drive with the window down or A/C on.
Decisions, decisions .....
Oh, almost forgot ...... I just love the looks I get driving her around. Expecially, when I run into another Z driver and we exchange the thumbs up. ;)
