#1264 here (end of Aug 03), about7800 carefully driven miles and having tire noise. Don't know if the amount of it is normal. Tread blocks are standing up a little. Allignment checked 3 times. New window motor. Rear hhatch in cold weather does not pop up (need to do the TSB). New instrument controller. Very slight window grease streak.
Super fuel mileage.
Still like it though; even it has more trouble then our 78 280 had (still have that too).

3 years, they grow up so fast don't they. It's not just the pre-orders. My 04 is almost a year and a half with +22k miles and besides having the front tires changed out at 14k absolutely no other problems whatsoever. I have enjoyed every second of driving this car.....YMMOT, Happy Bday to your Z and if you ever miss the monthly payment give me a call.

i replaced my tires at 7600 miles but other than that it's been a great car.still miss my 240 and am looking to have two Z's in the garage down the road.it's nice to get some positive feed back for a change.
Z's are like woman maintenance,maintenance,maintenance!

It's really the last six digits but ours all start with 100XXX. For example, the first Z off the line would be number 100001.

No, they don't start all with 100xxx with the serial number.
Ours has all zeros in front. No "One". It just depends on the assy plant location.
