Q:

don't be... but this has been covered before...

in your door...

they are the pads that hold the window in position to slide...

for some reason they (Nissan) thought it would be better to lubricate it... dumba$$es...

TSB will replace them... i did it and now i have no grease streaks...

OTOH... i had them replace the POS Bose... and now the left side of my stereo doesn't want to play...

BTW... solidus... do you have the Bose radio you spoke of earlier still?

On the Bose Radio fading the left side out. Hit the right side of the console near the Radio. Betcha it comes back on. My 02 Maxima and 04 Roadster do the same. It is indeed the POS Bose and seems to be a recurring issue. I had the same problem with 2 replacement units. Never have seen a TSB specifically on it though. Should be covered under your 3/36 warranty. To bad Clarion cannot seem to make a reliable stereo anymore. However I have noticed it is more common when my leg is leaning on the left sde of the console when driving so you may want to adjust your sitting position which may be putting pressure on something.

solidus -

They actually replace what is known as the felt stablizers. They basically hold the window securely when it's down as static mentioned. Look at TSB 03029 if interested.
