A&Q about 350Z
Q:
So over the past couple of years I've collected 3 door dings. For some reason, people like to open their car doors like the Incredible hulk. So my poor car has dimples on the passenger side door. I figure it's about time to get those fixed, along with the scratch along the top part of my door panel from someone keying my car. That happened after the 3rd day of owning my car. It's about time that I get new tires and rims, so I figure I should make my car looking happy again. Was wondering if anyone has used a mobile paintless dent removal service. Is there a difference in price from going to an actual body shop?

i havent qouted the difference but i'm willing to bet it's cheaper having the mobil service come to you versus you going to a bodyshop.they may have a service come to the shop and then mark up the work.i have a couple of dings on my passenger side was qouted 95.00 for the first ding and 10.00 each additional ding.so i figure 105.00 isn't bad and if they can't fix it you don't pay thats the best part.call around get some prices and remember to ask about they're gaurantee.good luck!

Yes,
I used the paintless dent repair on the Z and it looks great. The only problem is if the paint is chipped you will have to get that touched up. Also, some areas require them to drill holes in the inside to get access with their picks.

I've had paintless dent done on a few cars. I need to have the paint perfect on all of my cars. I came out perfectly each time. On a Sable, Excel, Altima, and Mustang.
It works great as long as there isn't any paint chipped. Even for larger dents.
Unfortunately, sometimes the paint does get chipped and it is in a position that doesn't touch up so good. I recently had a firebird rear panel, door blended after painting to get a small dent/chip fixed. It cost the insurance company $850 from some idiot dropping a pipe on the side of my car at Home Depot. It cost me $50 of my comprehesive coverage. Still I was without the car for about two weeks. When they painted the door the paint bubbled because the door had different paint on it than what they used. "Insert I hate water based paints here". Therefore it had to be repainted all over, sanding to the carbon fiber door and steel real clip to make sure it didn't bubble the second time. It cam out awesome. I could be happier.
So if the scratch was vadalism your insurance company would be worth talking to. Mine was very good about it. It doesn't make your rates go up either. I made sure of that since I get a discount for not making claims on homeowners, boat, rv, and cars. It all adds up if I make a claim.
This is considered Vadalism not a claim for damage. They are different.
Good luck ..... I hope this helps.
